BSL Season 9 Champions: Goof Troop
Goof Troop takes out Roar Omega Roar in the finals to take home the championship trophy!
What a season it’s been in the BSL. After months of ups, downs, and everything in between, the 2025 BSL Championship belongs to none other than Goof Troop, a team whose wild, unpredictable season has etched its place in league history.
Led by Captain Andrew Dai, Goof Troop’s story was nothing short of cinematic. Coming off a stellar rookie campaign where he earned Rookie of the Year honors and lifted the VanLe Cup with the Red Suns, Andrew entered Season 9 with big shoes to fill, his own. Taking the reins as captain for the first time, he assembled a roster that blended familiarity and potential: bringing back his former Red Suns captain Huy for leadership and stability, alongside fellow players from his rookie class, Anny, a top-5 finisher from last season, and Dillon, who finished dead last in Season 8.
If that lineup sounds like a gamble, it was, and it paid off in spectacular fashion. The Goof Troop’s season was a true roller coaster ride: win a match, lose the next, repeat. Due to their inconsistency, some had written them off as true contenders. However, became part of their charm, and when it mattered most, the Troop locked in and delivered championship-caliber performances.
Perhaps the most remarkable storyline of all belonged to Dillon, whose journey from 40th place last season to a top-5 finisher this year is the stuff of redemption legend. His hard work culminated in achieving something no one in nine BSL seasons had ever done before, the league’s first-ever perfect 300 game. A historic moment that instantly etched his name in BSL lore.
Through all the chaos, laughter, and late-game heroics, Goof Troop embodied what the BSL is all about, resilience, camaraderie, and a little bit of goofiness along the way.
Congratulations once again to your 2025 BSL Champions, Goof Troop!
Thank you to all the teams, bowlers, and fans for making Season 9 amazing as usual.
Until next time… keep rolling, BSL. 🎳
